Country :

Malaysia

Year :

2024

Status :

Partial

This policy is a comprehensive roadmap designed to transform Malaysia's Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) ecosystem. Its primary goal is to shift TVET away from the stigma of being a "second-tier" educational pathway and reposition it as a critical engine for creating a highly skilled, future-ready workforce.

Key highlights include:

  • Industry Alignment: Directly tying training programs to the high-growth, high-value (HGHV) sectors outlined in RMK13—such as renewable energy, AI, semiconductor manufacturing, and electric vehicles (EV).
  • Employability & Collaboration: Strengthening partnerships between institutions and private industries (like "train-intern, job-placement" models) to eliminate skills mismatches and guarantee higher graduate employability
  • Lifelong Learning: Expanding upskilling, reskilling, and professional certification programs for the current workforce through agencies like HRD Corp and PTPK.
  • National Laws
  • AIPA Resolutions
  • National Initiative
  • Young Parliamentarians of AIPA (YPA)
