Lao PDR supports the objectives of strengthening the role of young parliamentarians through national legal and policy frameworks that promote youth leadership, sustainable economic development, and inclusive governance. The amended Law on Youth (2021) encourages youth participation in public affairs, leadership development, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The 9th National Socio-Economic Development Plan (2021-2025), the Lao Youth and Adolescent Development Strategy (2021-2030), the National Green Growth Strategy 2030, and the National Digital Economy Strategy (2024-2030) further strengthen youth capacity in digital transformation, green development, entrepreneurship, and inclusive economic growth. These frameworks contribute to preparing young leaders to participate young leaders to participate in policymaking and support ASEAN's vision of a sustainable and inclusive economy.
